What is your opinion on the current NHS Surgical Cancellation Levels
As Clinical Lawyers we understand there can be many reasons why surgery can be cancelled, but when last-minute cancellations are affecting the "health and welfare of tens of thousands of patients every year" that is not acceptable. Many of our clients fall into the cancellation categories. In a period when the Government and Insurers are strongly advocating for repeal of s2(4) Law Reform (Personal Injuries) Act 1948 it is clear that the NHS simply does not have the resources to replace the provision of such service on the private sector.
